Purpose and scope
Release & Rise Co. is operated by Kelly Wright and provides holistic wellness services that may include breathwork, guided meditation, relaxation practices, hypnosis, NLP-informed techniques, wellness coaching, sound-based practices and group wellbeing events.
This Privacy Policy explains how Release & Rise Co. collects, holds, uses, discloses and protects personal information, and how individuals may access or correct their information or make a privacy complaint.
This policy applies to information collected through enquiries, bookings, intake forms, consultations, events, email, telephone, websites, social media, Meta lead forms, payment systems and other interactions with Release & Rise Co.
Our commitment
Release & Rise Co. respects individual privacy and handles personal information transparently and responsibly. Personal information is managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and other applicable Australian laws.
Information we may collect
Depending on the service or interaction, Release & Rise Co. may collect:

Enquiry, booking, waitlist, attendance and service-preference information

Payment-card details are generally processed securely by the relevant payment provider and are not stored directly by Release & Rise Co.
Release & Rise Co. will obtain consent before collecting sensitive information such as health information, unless collection without consent is permitted or required by law.
How information is collected

Directly from individuals through Acuity Scheduling, booking and intake forms, Meta lead forms, website forms, email, telephone, social media or in-person discussions
Through Square or another payment provider when a payment is made
Through event registrations, waitlists or newsletter subscriptions
From a parent, guardian, emergency contact or authorised representative where appropriate
From another person or professional with the individual’s consent or where otherwise permitted by law
Where practical, Release & Rise Co. will collect personal information directly from the person it relates to. Individuals should avoid providing another person’s information unless they have permission to do so.
Why information is collected and used
Release & Rise Co. may collect and use personal information to:
Respond to enquiries and expressions of interest
Manage bookings, waitlists, payments, cancellations and attendance
Provide appointment details, reminders, preparation information and service updates
Understand a client’s goals and provide or adapt services appropriately
Identify safety considerations and determine whether an activity should be modified, postponed or declined
Maintain consent, session, business, insurance and accounting records
Respond to feedback, complaints and access or correction requests

Choice and consequences of not providing information
Some information is optional. An individual may choose not to answer an optional question or may ask to discuss sensitive information privately.
If information reasonably required to manage a booking, process payment, assess participation or comply with legal or insurance obligations is not provided, Release & Rise Co. may be unable to provide, continue or appropriately adapt the requested service.
Disclosure of personal information
Release & Rise Co. may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:
Technology and service providers supporting scheduling, payments, email, website hosting, data storage, accounting, marketing and business administration
Professional advisers, insurers and legal representatives
Emergency services, healthcare professionals or a nominated emergency contact where reasonably necessary to respond to a serious safety concern
Government agencies, regulators, courts or other parties where required or authorised by law
Another party with the individual’s consent
Technology providers may include Squarespace and Acuity Scheduling, Square, Meta and email or data-storage providers.
Release & Rise Co. does not sell personal information or health information.
Overseas handling of information
Some technology and service providers used by Release & Rise Co. may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries in which those providers or their service providers operate.
The countries involved may vary as providers change their systems and hosting arrangements. Release & Rise Co. will take reasonable steps required by applicable privacy law when engaging service providers that handle information overseas.
Direct marketing
Release & Rise Co. may send newsletters, offers and other marketing communications where the recipient has consented or where sending is otherwise permitted by law.
Marketing consent is optional and separate from consent required for booking or participation. Health information will not be used for direct marketing without specific consent.
Marketing communications will identify Release & Rise Co., provide contact details and include a clear way to unsubscribe. Unsubscribe requests will be actioned as soon as practicable and within five working days.
Storage and security
Personal information may be stored electronically within scheduling, payment, email, website, document and business record-management systems.
Release & Rise Co. takes reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, strong passwords, multi-factor authentication, secure devices, restricted sharing and appropriate disposal practices.
No electronic system is completely secure. If a suspected data breach occurs, Release & Rise Co. will assess and respond to it, including making notifications required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where applicable.
Retention and disposal
Release & Rise Co. retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, insurance, accounting and professional record-keeping obligations.
